Vakani Orthodontics Sponsors Odyssey of the Mind Ft Pierce FL

Vakani Orthodontics office in Ft. Pierce, FL recently sponsored a previous patient, and a student at Fort Pierce Central High School, in an international competition. Maeve was on a team called “Odyssey of the Mind” competing in an international creative problem solving competition which included long-term problem solving and spontaneous problem solving. Her team at Fort Pierce Central High School won 2nd place at the regional competition, 2nd place at state competition in Orlando, FL out of 17 other teams, and 12th place out of 48 competing teams at the World Odyssey of the Mind competition in Ames, Iowa! Way to go Maeve!

As a sponsor, Vakani Orthodontics is proud to be part of something that promotes positive learning for children in the Treasure Coast. The students at Fort Pierce Central High School are provided with the opportunity to learn creative problem solving, teamwork, brainstorming, self-reliance, and respect for individual strengths in Odyssey of the Mind. In 2012, Odyssey of the Mind team of Lincoln Park Academy in Fort Pierce, FL took first place at the Florida state competition, then moved on to the team’s participation in the World finals at Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa.
